This week in Sea of Thieves, Rare has released the latest patch, which includes quick swap ranged weapons as well as the return of Reaper Chests to the Fort of the Damned. A quality of life update came with the reduction of black screens for lower-end hardware. The biggest thing right now is that Rare is looking to sell you a customizable audio setup for $20 to simulate 7.1 channel audio for the game. While it remains to be seen how good this actually is, a lot of the community is calling out Rare for trying to charge for this new feature that no one asked for.

This week in Sea of Thieves, it's a shame we have to do this song and dance one more time. Season 18 has been delayed, and while we're getting quality of life updates this month, the release of new content is going to be pushed out further than anticipated. I cover a bunch in this episode, but a lot of this is my thoughts on Rage and Bone Crates, Overhealth, and the overall design of Sea of Thieves and Rare not being able to stick to timelines for very long.

While I'm happy with how the forts turned out, both on High Seas and Safer Seas, there's a lingering issue that I have with the Emporium. This week in Sea of Thieves, it's that time before an update, where we get all the videos revealing what's coming up and going to be released. So it's time to go in and talk about what to expect. I think one of the interesting about this is going to be the mega-bundle in the emporium. It's a good value if you don't own a lot of it but for those that own a good chunk of the bundle won't benefit from a discount on the bundle.

We're also getting Twitch Drops, Gold and Glory, and Style of Thieves later in the next two weeks. Keep an eye on socials for when they start posting about it. The last thing I wanted to talk about this week is a new video from Sea of Thieves France - a fan-made short film that will be linked below.

Ahoy there Pirates, you know I love it when I get to talk about all the awesome stuff going on with the game. I love my lore, I love my adventures and I love it even more when everyone else is loving it as well. The one thing I love the most, though? Halloween. This week in Sea of Thieves, it's time for the Gold Hoarders to sit down and have a discussion on the second act of Season 17! We spend most of our time discussing the actual event and how things are progressing. I was really happy to have as many folks as we did this episode, and I wish we had an opportunity to talk more about weapons swapping and FOV changes to the game.
